High School Equivalency

Pleasanton Adult and Career Education offers preparation for the GED!

What is the GED?

Passing the GED exam will earn you a state high school diploma and recognition that you have a high school level of education.

Preparing for the GED

By registering as a student of ours, you have access to an online preparation program with tutorial support as needed. Start by registering for the program under Classes and then High School Diploma & High School Equivalency (GED) Orientation. Then contact our office at adulteducation@pleasantonusd.net or call (925) 463-0616 to schedule your intake test. The intake test is a reading and math test that takes approximately two hours and completes your registration in our program.

Test Sessions & Registration to Test

The GED® test is made up of four subjects, broken into separate exams. You don’t have to take all four tests at once — you can space them out however it suits you and go at your own pace. Schedule a GED test here.

Please review California's eligibility requirements prior to registering for a test session. Testers are responsible for confirming their own eligibility.
