High School Equivalency

Pleasanton Adult and Career Education offers preparation for the GED!

What is the GED?

Passing the GED exam will earn you a state high school diploma and recognition that you have a high school level of education.

Preparing for the GED

By registering as a student of ours, you have access to an online preparation program with tutorial support as needed. Start by registering for the program, then contact our office at or call (925) 463-0616 to schedule your intake test. The intake test is a reading and math test that takes approximately two hours and completes your registration in our program.

Test Sessions & Registration to Test

The GED® test is made up of four subjects, broken into separate exams. You don’t have to take all four tests at once — you can space them out however it suits you and go at your own pace. Schedule a GED test here.

Please review California's eligibility requirements prior to registering for a test session. Testers are responsible for confirming their own eligibility.
