Summer enrichment classes will be held between June 11 and July 19, with no school on Fridays or July 2-6th. Please review each course carefully.  Days and times of classes vary. Classes will be held at the following sites:
Alisal Elementary School, 1454 Santa Rita Road.

Classroom assignments will be determined the first week in June and families will be notified of the final room assignments prior to the first day of class.

Can anyone enroll in Summer Enrichment?
Yes!  Any student in the targeted grade levels for the classes can enroll, regardless of whether they are a Pleasanton resident or school district student.  Please note that the grade levels listed are for the upcoming, 2018-2019 school year.

What is your attendance policy for Summer Enrichment?
Students who do not attend may risk losing their spot to someone on the waitlist, without a refund.  We do expect students to attend each day of class. Please contact the Summer School office if you have a planned absence during a summer class.

What is the registration deadline for Summer Enrichment?
Registration will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis.  Registration will continue until classes reach capacity at that point, families may choose to be placed on a wait list.

I am an out of district student. May I enroll in summer enrichment?
Fee-based programs are open to out of district students.

Is there a fee to attend Summer Enrichment?
Enrichment courses offered through Adult and Career Education will require a fee to enroll.

Are there scholarships, fee reductions, or waivers for families who need assistance?
Yes.  Please contact summerenrichment@pleasantonusd.net to request fee assistance for fee based classes.

What is the refund, withdrawal or cancellation policy?
A full refund will be provided if PUSD cancels a course.  Enrollment cancellations will be accepted with a full refund or credit if received by May 21.  Cancellations must be sent by email to summerenrichment@pleasantonusd.net.  Cancellations received after May 21st, but at least 10 days prior to the first day of class will receive a 50% refund or full credit toward another open class.  No refund will be given for cancellations within 72 hours of the start of the class or for non-attendance.

If my child is on the waitlist when will I find out if they have a spot?
If another student withdraws from a class, then families will be contacted from the waitlist based on their position on the list.

What are the required materials for each class?
Please refer to the information on each class.  Unless specific materials are listed, the student should simply bring water and a nut-free snack (if desired), as well as paper and something to write with.

When is drop off and pick up for each class?
Students should be dropped off and picked up no more than 5 minutes before or after each class. Parents/Guardians may escort their child to the classroom on the first day of class. After the first day of class, parents/guardians can drop off at the parking area or campus gates.  Adults and children who aren’t enrolled in a class may not enter or remain on campus without administrative approval.

What if I have special accommodations, such as through an IEP or Section 504 Plan?
Accommodations will be made in summer school enrichment classes to allow all students to access the course content.  Please contact Alex Ramirez, Summer School Enrichment Administrator, at aramirez@plesantonusd.net to discuss your child’s specific needs.
